"I wandered in wanting a snack, but found the staff didn 't know what was vegan their menu only has a symbol for 'vegetarian '. One item (a brownie) had 'vegan ' in the description and the waitress said it wasn 't, which was confusing! Also things like the apple pie were apparently not vegan. So my options were limited, but in the end I got a nice turmeric latte with coconut milk and an acai whip with fruit. It was nice sitting at the wooden bench out the back in the sun, watching the ocean. It 's table service only, and I waited ages for the acai whip, but I was on a long weekend chilling out so it didn 't matter. The only other disappointment was that the acai whip came in a disposable cup (with 'compostable ' spoon I 've heard these actually take ages to decompose) even if you 're eating in. All in all, not really a vegan vibe here, but good enough if you 're in the area, and it 's a nice setting, with no traffic, and an ocean view out the back."

"I just wanted to have a quick breakfast on my way from Surfers to Byron and found this lovely cafe just at the corner of the Main Street and I immediately fell in love with it. I love their concept of only offering gluten free food and locally sourced produce and that the meals are really creative. I had the breakfast salad and it was not a problem to get some additional feta on top. I also had the soothing juice and felt just so healthy and good after having been there. On top of that, the place is really made with love - you can see that in every detail and the staff is just overwhelming warm hearted. I can so recommend this place without any doubt."

"The Refuel Depot is my once a week lunch treat and I ALWAYS get the Berry Acai Bowl. It is by far the best Acai I have ever had. The coconut and berry compote is delicious. I do ask for Macadamia nuts instead of granola as this is how the Refuel Depot used to serve their Acai bowls, and personally, I love the Macadamia's with this Acai. Also, the Cacao Crunch Truffles that can be found in the fridge in the Refuel Depot are incredible!"

"Real granola, not sugar-filled, processed nonsense. Amazing presentation. Highly recommend the creamy mushrooms. Be sure to read the menu to know the story behind the cafe, it’s a real family business. A lovely place to sit for breakfast after coming down from our mountain stay....Penny and Justyn Broken Hill."

"Have been here quite a few times over the past six months and it delivers quality food and coffee consistently. The service is prompt and professional without being fawning and thankfully the staff seem to keep their oversized pepper grinders to themselves (if I can find your cafe I can probably grind my own pepper...). Coffee is very good, nice and strong but not bitter and the baked morsels at the counter are tempting and tasty."
