"Went here for a birthday dinner having stumbled across it earlier on in the day. So glad we did... very varied menu and absolutely delicious food. Fantastic surroundings and friendly staff too. Apologised for keeping us waiting... not that we thought they had!!"

"I had dinner here on a Tuesday evening, making a reservation at 19:30, when they opened. By 20:00, the restaurant was about half full. The waiter was very friendly, eagerly worked with my limited French, and paired wines with each course. I chose the three-course menu for EUR38, which I felt was good value for money. The courses themselves were inventive and delicious. I really enjoyed the entire experience and the warm ambiance of this relatively small restaurant. I'll definitely go back. Best for a date night or a foursome."

"I spent an excellent evening at O’Chtib. The dishes we ordered were really delicious and the very warm people. I was able to taste their chorizo chicken risotto which was really pleasant and melting in the mouth. Just at the smell and the visual you can see that the dishes are made home. We were 4 and we were all concquired. I was able to take a bite from the other dishes of the table and my verdict was the same, excellent. Small mention to the Welsh which is very far from those you can find in the classic estaminets with this oil overlay, here the Welsh is not heavy at all. It is a restaurant that I will hold and where I will return to the future. Thanks to the whole team for the quality of service and dishes."

"One summer evening, a beautiful sunny evening, you will be tempted again by the basilica café. problem at 21h45 the terrace is in the black. Just 3 candles heats flat to light it...We eat inside dirty, sticky, the label of a beverage stuck partially on the table. Mould is far from being nickel, dust, rodent bait at the foot of the glass bay. beurk....Toubib served warm, cooking supplement barely respected So-Phy soup without great interest. Very scented broth but the balls too fade, the dish too big to eat and cut the meat. The rice pasta seems Panzani noodles....White vintage announced tariquet 2014, it is a bottle of 2016 that is served. We notice that, we make 50% discount on the price. The foam shocko for dessert is not remarkable...Loin of the standards of the basilica coffee deck new it is very bad...It is definitive it will be the last time, more and more disappointed each time."

"We had a wonderful meal at this little place tucked away in Lille. It is a small, cosy restaurant with an emphasis on fresh food. The waitress who I presume was the owner was so hospitable and extremely patient with us. Although we had worked out most of the menu there were a few things we weren't sure about but she was happy to translate. The food is simple but delicious. Everything is fresh and seasonal and cooked to perfection. The menu is not extensive but there were sufficient choices and each dish we had was wonderful.The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed and there aren't many tables perhaps 20 to 22 covers. Even though it is a small restaurant the tables are well spaced and diners are not on top of each other.A welcoming hostess who also recommended a restaurant for the next night for us - very nice of her.A really lovely little place and certainly worth a visit. Not fancy but good honest food which was absolutely delicious .Fresh and tasty and presented beautifully."
