"I’m only giving this restaurant 1 star because I can’t give 0. The saltiest thing I have ever been served. I ordered the steak, had one mouthful and couldn’t eat it. Waiters refused to do anything about it, and then were rude when I politely explained I didn’t want to pay for it. Waiter begun to argue back and so I ended up paying just to get out of the place and continue enjoying my night drinking water to quench my thirst from the saltiness. Considering it a miracle that I wasn’t in hospital with kidney stones, although had I continued eating I may have not been so lucky. Plenty of other restaurants in the marina that are 100 X better than this shambles."

"We like this place, they have a children’s playroom, and you can sit near it so you can watch the monsters : ! although it seems to have less and less toys, I hope they will improve this but it may be health and safety issues, Excellent variety of food, including salads and deserts, also selection of meats and fish that they will grill to order also included in the price it’s eat as much as you can, house wine by the jug is cheap and good ! Defo a place to visit if you are hungry : parking outside and easy to find ! Good service and no pressure! Overall a good place to go for a family lunch !"

"We ate here twice during a weeks stay in Alte. On both nights, the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The first time we ate, there was a few other people eating and the experience was a very pleasant one. The second time, it was a lot busier and the staff seemed completely overwhelmed. We arrived at 9.45 and was told the kitchen closed at 10pm and only certain dishes were available. There was no ice for the drinks, the couvert came out with no pate or carrots but we were charged the same price. There was only 2 options for dessert left. We felt like the staff just wanted us to finish up so they could get the tables laid for breakfast. A pity because our first experience was very positive."

"We had an excellent experience when we visited for the first time yesterday (10th July ‘22) albeit we had read some negative reviews and were apprehensive the Servers were all friendly and attentive and made us feel extremely welcome we had a wonderful...meal of piri piri chicken, chicken wings, calamari, mixed salad king prawns in garlic with some bread, olives and Algarvian style carrots to start with too… followed by fresh fruit platter and some once cream. It wasn’t as cheap as Marufo but the look, style and atmosphere was more restaurant like and less cafe like and it was really good…"
