"One big time advise if you want to dine here don't sit outside!!!!! Everything started ok with decent margarita and small plates until 4 5 bees hover around the food. One bee was even drawn in the drink. The manager was ok to change the margarita.When we asked him to change the small plates due to food safety concern, he started to have attitude. He brought back a bowlback and claimed it's freshly made calamari but it was obvious the portion is smaller than a regular plate. They just changedfrom the original plate to a bowl. We didn't touch the calamari anymore. We also noticed when we sat down inside and told themanager the bees also stung the wings, the bartender behind the bars looked at us and kept shaking her head. When I looked ather, she was afraid to make eye contact. Later, when our entree came, Thick Chick sandwich, we found the bun is not fresh. Youcan easily smell it being stale. Given the negative vibe from the manger and the bartender, we didn't even bother tocomplain. The waitress served us is nice and apologized for our unpleasant experience. The manager never approached to us againafter the bee incident to show any sincere concern or hospitality. Both my friend and I believe we were being treated in thisway because we are the only minority customers there. So if you are colored, better stay away!"

"Not everything was perfect here, but there were so many right things that I can 't give them anything less than all 5 stars! The disappointments were minimal: we asked could the salmon be cooked to a specific internal temperature and were told no way . The personable, bubbly waiter had no doubts the chef couldn 't handle a specific request. We also ordered a country fried steak and requested the gravy be served on the side. The gravy was all on top of the beef, but it tasted good regardless (and my daughter wasn 't too concerned). Lastly, we requested hot tea and were told they do not serve that, BUT the waiter, being incredibly creative, offered to heat unsweetened tea in the microwave for us if we desired. Lol. We ordered the chicken livers appetizer and it was perfectly cooked: crispy crunchy on the outside, soft and buttery inside. They have a very large and appealing list of sides options. I had to order just a plate of sides, getting fresh fruit, a garden salad, rutabagas, lima beans, and purple hull peas. Oh my it was all great, especially with the complimentary cornbread served as a family sized complimentary appetizer. *note* the fresh fruit cup was filled with canned mandarin oranges on the bottom, but with the fresh fruit on top it was very tasty. Cornbread was not overly sweet. ????. The veggies and the soup were not over salted! ???????? The service was cordial and efficient. ???? I 'd sincerely recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious home style cooking in a homey, clean, fun environment."

"My daughter spotted this place and wanted to buy Italian ices. We pulled up and went to the door to find out it was closed, and they had a sign that states they should be open at 12 (guessing due to the holiday). The owner was in his car and told me I saw how excited your daughter was and I couldn't allow myself to not serve her ice cream. He opened the shop and gave her the ice cream she asked for and wouldn't accept the money for it. I thought that was amazing and you barely find business owners that go to that extent now a days. I would like to thank him once again for his kind gesture."

"12/24/21 about 1ish, I came with my friend who is from Long Island, NY and dined here. It is a cute place to dine, and the place was pretty full of patrons. I ordered the cheese sticks, quiche (spinach, cheese, and ham), seafood bisque, and coleslaw. The fried clams were tasty. It was Very good/Very fresh. The pretty blonde is the sweetest! Our waitress was not too nice at all, though, which made that part of the expereince unfortunate. Thank God the food was good!!"
