"When travelling to the southwest of France we always take the RN10 i.s.o. the A10 because this is a easy driving road without toll payment and you do not lose much time compared to taking the A10 (if losing any at all).We made a stopover in Vivonne on one of our trips and were looking for a restaurant.We saw the Routier restaurant and decided to give it a try, knowing that a member of my family had been a trucker and I always remember that he said that one was offered a decent meal at a low price in Les Routiers restaurants.We cannot agree more with him.You pay at the bar upfront and then you go into the restaurant were everything looks nice.There is a large selection of cold starters (there are even oysters) and the selection of main courses is written on a table.A choice of cheeses and a selection of desserts is included as well (so is the wine and water).Upon our return home we decided to stop here again for lunch and we were not disappointed (although the apple pie was a bit on the minus side).The place is visted by truckers as well as by locals and travellers like us.The place is even open on Saturday and Sunday noon which you don't find often in Les Routiers restaurants.We will certainly consider stopping here again when this fits in our travel schedule."
