"I really want to love this place, but I balance hits and misses. My first time the tomato bruschetta and the mezzaluna were major hits while the cacao e Pepe was mediocre (I’ll likely never love it without long noodles. The second visit the appetizer was mediocre, and two of our pasta dishes one was cold and the other … not one of the three of would eat, but the cacio e Pepe wasOn point. The saving grace was the chocolate dessert (the tiramisu exactly meets my expectations . With the courses menu, I find the value for the quality misaligned."

"Incredible meal! We were able to snag a last minute reservation on a Saturday and felt lucky to have done so between the overall vibe and the food. My dad, who is not easily impressed, said the chicken parm was great and hot (big words from him). And my Penne Scampi Imperiale was one of my favorite Italian dishes I’ve had in a while. Must try in west loop."

"This was the first time I had dinner at Ristorante Ciao. So their closing in May will be our loss...and Naples’ loss, too. I’m still one of those who is a die hard “eat outside only” persons. And...I’m always thrilled when a restaurant still gives you that choice. Dinner began with an introduction by our waiter, Vladimir, who took our drink order and clearly and politely explained the evening’s specials. I went with the Snapper, prepared ever so gently with an EVOO sauté which included perfectly done potatoes, green beans, cauliflower and zucchini. My dining companion and myself both started the meal with a perfectly dressed Caesar Salad. She had the Veal Stuffed Ravioli as her main course. She raved about her choice. Dinner ended with Espresso and House Made Biscotti. So...having been remiss and not trying Ristorante Ciao sooner...I am now giving you the opportunity to call for a reservation before they close FOREVER in May. So...GO THERE (soon."
