"I was really looking forward to my first visit to this restaurant and the food did not disappoint. It was creative, fresh and delicious, especially the gnocchi with huitlacoche. I wish the same could be said for the service. From the time I arrived and...was not really greeted by two young snooty young women at the door, but instead shown upstairs to a tiny windowless room with small tables that seemed like a closet, I knew this was not going to be a stellar experience on the whole. I told the arrogant young woman that I did not want to sit in this tiny room. I asked for a table outside and she basically left me there to deal with two waiters who did not want to move the table under the nearby umbrella as it was threatening to rain. Finally they obliged me. The food arrived promptly and although it was delicious nobody bothered to check on me. Then when it came time to pay the bill the same snotty young woman came to my table with a terminal and was actually verging on route during the transaction. There was no thank you for coming or any of the niceties that you would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Perhaps the chef should start paying more attention to the front of the house. I had the exact opposite experience at Pujol yesterday. The food and the service were excellent and I actually felt like the staff cared about my experience. Not like Rosetta."
