"We went to Puerto de La Cruz for a day trip in March 2011. We were disappointed that the recommendations in our travel book were either out of town or were rather expensive and looked around for something that seemed more interesting than the sea front fast food and tourist menus. We found Fusion just a minute or so's walk from the main square just up the street from Inglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Pena de Francia. It serves delicious and very reasonably priced food from a beautifully decorated restaurant fresh simple but imaginative flavours and a very modestly priced set menu. Excellent local wines knowledgeably discussed. The pavement tables do not have the prettiest of views, but there is little traffic to bother you and the setting is enhanced by good quality seating and tableware. The staff are only too anxious to help (perhaps a little too much! and are rightly proud of what they have achieved in the couple of months since the place opened. We wish them all the very best in their venture and hope that the word will spread fast so that both locals and tourists can enjoy this lovely place, which is very distinctly a world apart from the standard tourist fare being offered elsewhere in town for the same sort of prices."
