"Spanish food in good air: not as common as you might think. a ba le got a lot of food with Italian influences and, of course, Argentine. We went there to dinner early on Christmas day; perhaps at 8 p.m. I was crowded when we left, as dinner does not start there until 10: 00h. We were a group of four, we shared a great paella. We had drinks and dessert. Everything was fine. I loved the paella."

"We had visited Vasco Frances several times before and allways found it to be above the average of Spanish restaurants in a city that offers so many great choices of the specialty. We cannot find fault with the service, which was courteous, professional and efficient. Something not uncommon in Buenos Aires. However the food this time was unitresting, bland and lacking that great blends of flavors so wonderful in the Basque Country cousine. A flavorless Tortilla a la Vasca and indifferent Gambas al ajillo were not to their old standars. The Besugo al horno con ajillo y pimenton was very good, although it could have benefited with a touch less olive oil as the fish is already oily enough. The restaurant is large, airy and open and located upstairs in a traditional Spanish style building that was so popular in the early decades of the last century. The restrooms are clean and well supplied. A bit of a warning, check your bill, as mistakes are possible. We had an overcharge on the wine, and after confirming we told the waiter to just keep the difference as a gratuity."
