"Evangeline was a lovely experience. What stood out most was the heart and friendly service with which they serve up the food which in itself is wonderfully delicious. The patatas bravas were an unexpected and pleasant surprise, the Ghambas tasty. But the real star was the paella, which was just phenomenal. Exactly the right comfort food, full of flavor and yummy seafood. When people say a place is charming, this is the textbook definition. I'd go back again in a heartbeat!"

"Would have been a five star rating of we hadn't had to wait 30 minutes and then ask for our check, wait another 10 for them to pick it up, and another 10 to bring out back. Great soups, esp. the black bean soup (sounds bland, but is more like a burrito in a bowl. I had the bobotie, which was good, and the corn chowder was excellent. My vegetarian friends were also very satisfied with their options. Creme brulet was a perfect finish."
