"In a lovely street of the old town of Gruissan, this restaurant has elected to reside in an old house , splendidly renovated with an outdoor terrace under the “vignes” that is full of charm. The waiter was exceptional, using story telling, knowledgeable, and very...accommodating as well. The menu is short with a mix of traditional and local food and other with a modern spin using fresh vegetables and different spices. It’s a French restaurant. The menu at 42 euros is an excellent “deal”. A romantic vibe , and a really lovely setting."

"Direct sale of seafood and tasting on site or to take away. Very nice discovery. the place is authentic, at the gates of the fishing hangar. a restaurant screaming, even felt, despite the tourist attendance. we choose our shells (also possible to take dishes), we pass in cash (some local products offered to purchase), then we take the blanket and the bucket (for waste, as at home) and we settle where we want, in front of the sea all that happens. We'll go back and get our tray for a few moments later. Unreasonable: 16 euros of lobster in August. about 40 euros for 2 adults, 1 child, wine included. Eight lobsters. super meals, good atmosphere, very pleasant staff, splendid setting and fresh products. We can't leave without going!"

"When you first approach La Voile Blanche, set on an unspoilt expansive beach lapped by the temperate waters of the Med, you sense that you are in for a bit of a treat. Despite the restaurant essentially being a large wooden cabin raised up about...a metre off the beach you enter a stylish, tranquil environment with jazz-funk being played at just the right volume. It did take a few minutes to be seated but we were on holiday and there was no rush. We decided to sit inside the restaurant and took in the views out over the beach and sea beyond. We could have sat outside but it was a hot day and we wanted to give our boys a break from the sun. We ordered drinks and then perused the menu, which was limited (but not in a bad way I hate being presented with hundreds of options in some UK restaurants and you know it's all food service companies providing the meals). We went straight for main courses, which was a choice of fish or meat dishes. Me and the boys went for the burger and my wife for a fish dish (very similar to monk fish) and presented on a vertical skewer, which was the restaurant's house special. A burger in France sounds a bit of a heathen or typican English choice, but it was a sumptuous home-made burger in a very good bread roll with cheese, bacon and onion. The meat was cooked rare, as requested, and absolutely melted in the mouth. We followed the meal with coffee and asked for the bill. At almost euros it wasn't a cheap lunch, but it was worth every penny. The service was friendly and professional, and by UK standards it was relatively slow, but this wasn't an issue. The leisurely lunch in France is alive and well, and this wasn't just because we were by the beach. Now back in the UK, I know that going to a beachside cafe here is never going to be the same."

"Had a nice evening with the wife I had duck very nice wife had lisse and potatoes which was a bit meaty perhaps that's how its supposed to be but wished she had chose differently,pleasant staff and ambience and would visit again."
