"If you enjoy fresh and crispy fish & chips PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. The title of this review is no exaggeration. This "seafood restaurant" does not even deserve one star - our experience was so horrible. We ordered two takeaway combos, one grilled and one battered and they were both revolting. Everything was soggy and plain, the salad was dead, nothing was fresh. Such a disappointing meal. In Adelaide, where good food and wine is the reason many tourists visit, restaurants simply cannot afford to serve meals like this. Then to add insult to injury, the service was very poor - we were made to feel awkward while waiting, as though we shouldn't be ordering takeaway fish & chips from a fish & chips restaurant. Very disappointed we wasted one of our meals out in Adelaide here and will advise everyone we know against going."

"I always find a nice place to sit in this restaurant. There is tons of seating indoors and a nice size heated patio outside. The dish that stole my heart and has had me visit this place times in the last month of this...business trip was the Garlic Prawn dish... Be still my heart!!! Its fantastic! Staff is always kind and helpful also. The owner has also come out to greet me before and make sure everything was going well. Keep it up! If you are in Adelaide and looking for a nice dinner.. def think of Passatempo!"

"Came here on 28/9/22 for a work lunch of 5. The menu was varied enough that someone on a strict diet found something to eat. Food was really good with good size serves and nicely presented for pub meals. Reasonably priced. Everyone was served in a timely manner. Kitchen were good enough to advise of a change in an accompanying salad for a dish. Can recommend."

"The general service from the staff was good. They were friendly and accommodating and we were looking forward to what was to come. Unfortunately they didn't deliver. For a place that prides itself on steak quality, this was average RSL standard at best. I order the Wagyu Rump marble score with garlic cream sauce on the side and my wife had the Black Angus Rump with blue cheese sauce on the side. Both steaks were ordered M/R. Mine was at its thickest part and was cooked M/W. My wife's was much thicker but was cooked medium. Both steaks were not seasoned and required a heap of salt to extract any flavour, as were both sauces, not to mention as runny as water. Luckily the mash and chips were decent. I was refunded the cost of my meal which was understandable. Won't be heading back any time soon."

"An AFL game had the Balcony Restarurant buzzing and packed out (a good sign when a restaurant is popular with the locals) but the wait staff made us welcome and asked if we would be happy with a twenty minute wait for a table - which we were. It was worth the wait. The food was beautiful and the waiting staff were lovely, very friendly. I finished off with a glass of Tokay which I have never seen in a restaurant before - and I thoroughly enjoyed it!"

"It’s a winner. Solo business traveller on a Thursday night and it was almost booked out before 7. Good bustling atmosphere.<br/ <br/ Service 5<br/ Food 5<br/ <br/ Italian beer and very generous portions. Possibly too big but it gives a feeling that an authentic Italian family is running this. I can understand why it has great reviews.<br/"
