"Disappointing at best. I knew when I walked up I was in trouble, the duct tape on the broken window outside said it all. The interior was worn out, worn down 1960's diner-esque but lacking the nostalgic feeling. The service was fine, not fabulous but attentive and quick. The food however was abysmal starting with the garlic bread I ordered while waiting for my husband. They delivered to the table, 3 slices of what appeared to be Texas toast, thick cut white bread. It had been toasted with some garlic and the green shaker cheese sprinkled on top. This distressing bit of culinary hell was followed by more bread being delivered to the table, same white sliced bread sans the garlic/cheese mess. The main course was really the coup de grace! I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which turned out to be what I can only describe as a flattened slab of Michigan's finest steel belted radials, smothered in what was actually a tasty red sauce. My husbands, wise man that he is played it safe with the spaghetti and bolognese sauce that was equally as good as their red sauce. Save yourself the angst and skip the Pines of Florence."

"My husband and I had dinner 3/4/2022, made reservations for 6pm. Once sat, it took a while for our table to be greeted; we were not told of the days special(s). I noticed the table(s) sat after us were greeted more promptly told the day(s) special given bread/water upon being sat. My cousin has gagled this place. the staff was very nice and friendly. told the owner that new york pizza is the best he said, try it and give it a review. "This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside as it's right next to Richmond Highway/US 1, but it was surprisingly very nice inside and on the outdoor patio. Can't complain about the service, the waitresses were nice and the food came out pretty quickly but the food itself was my favorite part. If you get an entree, you also get some bread and a side salad, and the Greek salad came with this delicious dressing. The olive oil in it tasted very fresh (and they do sell olive oil next door) and it was good to dip the bread in as well. We got the eggplant dish which was like a Mediterranean take on Eggplant Parmesan and it was very tasty. The menu was more on the Italian side than Mediterranean, with pastas, pizzas, and sandwiches being the main components but the Mediterranean sides and aspects were delicious. I wish I saw this restaurant sooner!"
