"Being Carnivore we like to get to all the restaurants that claim to serve good meat!! We ordered the triple ribs combo Pork, Lamb Beef for 2 plus a drink each. The service was friendly the atmosphere very nice with a view...of the ocean however, after waiting 30 min our meals came out before our drinks. We tried to get the attention of the waitress but this seemed futile. We decided to tuck in while hot discovered all 3 types of ribs had the same sauce bit of an overload. The Lamb beef were just ok but the pork was hard and not falling off the bone. Eventually they brought us our drinks and some salt as the chips had absolutely nothing on them. Overall, for $135, this was not worth it! I can cook much better ribs at home for $30!"

"Lives on the coast for some time and have eaten in many places, but WOW had only the ribs for dinner here and everything I can say is OMG. They wanted to die! The portion size itself was enough for two (even if I had half a rack) and they were so fleshy and tender and no matter how much I wanted, I could not finish them. So the food without question gets an eleven out of ten, but then the staff, well I must say, also get an 11 out of 10. They were friendly, greeted you with smiles and could have a conversation. Not even our drinks came down without having a friendly face to ask if we want another drink. I, we, would definitely recommend Central to anyone visiting the beautiful Surfers Paradise."

"Expectations were high as we eat at La Porchetta in Hobart. The son ordered spaghetti bolognese which he said was just ok -actually didn't finish eating it which was unusual). Husband and I shared the chicken and avocado fettuccine pasta. Not much chicken in...it, but, full of Avacado. We shared a pizza with the lot. Only had one slice as the toppings were cut so thick you could not enjoy it especially the thickness of the capsicum and mushrooms. Service was quick and friendly."

"Went here for dinner over the weekend with some local friends. We were disappointed to have waited about 15 to get some table water and even longer to be approached to order. An item of the menu was forgotten and we were not offered for...it be given anyway, it was just ‘ oh sorry, I forgot ‘ and that was that. However, I could not fault the main meals. All of the food we ordered was exceptional. If you’re staying at resorts close by, it’s not a bad one!"

"Food was great, I had Barra Taco and it was very tasty, my daughter enjoyed a burger but my husband said ribs were a bit bland. Nice atmosphere, smart casual. Would definitely go again."
