"Beautiful small modern bar/bistro with wet facilities. playground outside for children. eating is in order, there is nothing that is great, it is pub food. I had no good steak here (the kitchens certainly need a school) and recently the ribs were ordered cold (both of us). but I can't blame the service personnel, all are brilliant. they only discovered one night with a trivia, looks like fun."

"My husband & I stayed in Townsville for almost two months & decided to have a meal on our last day in the city to this restaurant. Food is good, but, the garlic bread that we ordered was just the size of a child's fist & didn't even leave a crumb in between our teeth. Had the fish N chips....it's nice & crunchy, generous portion, but, the fish was too greasy & the batter was just so thick, you can hardly see/taste the fish. We just ate the salad, chips...picked the fish meat & left the greasy batter behind. To make matters worse, we endured a tummy ache the next day. Not the best memory to take back home aye"

"We had a Sunday night dinner here and really enjoyed it. Both our shared entree and main meals were good quality and very tasty. Although you order at the counter and buy drinks at the bar, food is delivered to the table. We found the service to be fast and friendly."

"Ended up at Rydges Southbank Grill after most of the desirable restaurants were fully booked (a Saturday night). Partner had very best spareribs we have come across outside of the USA. He ordered half rack. Nice large meaty ribs with a few deep fried onion rings (not health food). I had a pumpkin & feta salad. Quite nice - not exciting but good if not wanting a huge feed. Only downside was $8 for a side dish, so partner had only the ribs. Would definitely go back again for the ribs."

"Went for dinner with my wife and 1yr old son, fantastic food, service was really good, 2 course meal was a great deal, wife and I split a desert an entree, all the food was really really good. Second time we've been and we will definitely go back, thanks heaps guys, great dining experience"

"Came here for dinner on a week night so it wasn't overly crowded. Staff were nice and attentive. It was lovely to sit outside. Food was average and prices mid range. Go somewhere else for wine. There was a reasonable range on the list but by the bottle only and except for a small range of $15 bottles the rest were expensive for this restaurant. As I only wanted a glass I had to choose from the very limited per glass list and the wine was terrible. Reasonable size glass of wine though but that was also expensive."

"My daughter, my four grandsons and myself had a meal together to be able to catch up while the boys were home from university. This was a great venue for a quiet catch up. We went mid-week. Entrees ordered were prawn cocktail and oysters Kilpatrick....Roast of the day was pork with vegies (potato, pumpkin, cauliflower broccoli served with gravy. A salmon dish, chicken dish and pork chop dis were selected. I had roast of the day. The meat vegies were well cooked. Being a vergie person I would have preferred a slice less of pork with an extra piece of either pumpkin, broccoli or cauli. The meals were not humongous but the quantity was adequate and satisfying. The meals were value for money. The service was great , atmosphere friendly. Will return again."
