"We don’t understand the other rave reviews. The service was slow and haphazard. We were about to order but then they realised we’d been given the wrong menus so then the waitresses had to go and get the correct menus... Our drinks arrived after our starter had been finished…. And after we chased for them three times (water and coke are not difficult to pour). We also ordered wine for our main course which arrived when we were nearly finished… and then more arrived once we had finished (which we sent back as it was a mistaken double order). Took forever to clear our table and then we waited for 40 minutes to try and pay. In the end we actually went to the bar. When we questioned all of this, the service charge was removed and one drink was removed (we were a party of two). Even after reduction we still had a bill of £130+ for two of us for over cooked, cold starters, an average chateaubriand and two mediocre glasses of wine. We love to support independent local businesses and were really looking forward to HK but we don’t plan to return and wouldn’t recommend the restaurant to others."
