"One of the biggest culinary disappointments of my life. I ordered lobster and rice. The lobster had maybe 2 Oz of edible meat. The rice was a cold flavourless blob. The “corn on the cob” was a half cob of overcooked garbage I’m still hungry, paying my $80 bill and going to eat at a decent restaurant"

"I ordered a bunch of stuff end of March...delivery guy didn't follow the directions and delivered to the wrong address...called the store for help, they had no idea what to do...called their customer service and they apologized and said they'd process the refund (ok, great ...a month later after no refund I called the customer service line again...apologized and escalated, saying it might take 7 business days (okkkkkk.... ....2 weeks later after not receiving the refund I called again and was told they would escalate it again, because it worked so well the first 2 times. I look forward to having to dispute this transaction with my credit card when I still don't get my refund by the year 2026... I've included a photo of what I received from my order:"

"I'm not a seafood expert. I grew up on the prairies. That's my excuse. Regardless, I wasn't going to pass up on the offer from a local of a lobster dinner upstairs at Salty's. It's been years since I had lobster. My 1½ pounder did not disappoint. It was nicely cooked, all set to be taken apart and eaten. For me, there was just enough melted garlic butter; others may want more. My asparagus was fresh, pinky-finger thin and properly done. Rhubarb crumble for dessert was a fitting finish. I have to admit that, prior to my trip, I was unaware that Nova Scotia had any wineries. The local wine that we had went well with lobster. One guest had the lobster thermadore, calling it the best he'd ever had. Service was friendly and properly attentive."

"Heading back home the next day we asked at the hotel about pizza delivery and they recommended Xtreme Pizza. The "Works" pizza was okay while the poutine was actually very good. Delivery was very fast and they had a chip reader for credit cards making the transaction quick."

"You would think that being Halifax, a restaurant would know how to make a good doniar... Well these guys know how to make A GREAT DONIAR!!!! The meat was perfectly seasoned, fresh onions, the wrap had a nice chew, but the sauce, was absolutely delicious . If you're in downtown Halifax, make the stop on Gottingen st have yourself a great tasting donair."

"This is a grilled cheeses dream! They are kicking out some of the best lunch food in town. On my days off I literally plan this in to them, that is how much I like them.The people in the truck are amazing! They are friendly, they chat with you, they remember you and they serve a mean cheese.You need to eat here, granted it's a summer thing, hit up their face book page and see where they are at. It's worth it."

"Most of the menu is based on the market value of lobster that day because almost everything contains lobster.You don't get as much meat in the lobster roll as other places, but these guys don't drown it in mayo. Butter, garlic, lobster, chives. Simple is best. The flavour is excellent. The bread isn't anything special, but still crispy and golden.Long wait, but they do them in batches. So you could either be waiting for 10 minutes, or get it almost right away.They serve Canadian chips which is a nice touch. Support local!"
