"Original review (5 stars) : this small, family-run restaurant opened its doors a few days ago. we went by and stopped for dinner and were impressed by the quality of the two dishes we ordered (thai and panang curry.) really good taste on both, and the spice level was suitable for what we asked. total fantastic meal, we will be back! update (4 stars:) we have visited this place a few times, the place is consistently good. only problems are that the prices seemed to rise, and the portions are quite small."

"I've been coming to Purple Kow in Berkeley for about 8 years now and it is still one of my favorite boba shops! Definitely in my top 3. My go to order is D3 (purple kow's special milk with caramel, egg pudding, and boba). Their boba is sweet and chewy and milk drink is creamy (almost tastes like whipped cream). 100% recommend this place."

"After walking around Berkeley, my friend and I decided to try the Korean fried chicken from this shop. Service: We used the kiosk to order the food. It took awhile to receive our order. Probably because they cook the chicken fresh. Food: We ordered the medium soy chili garlic with a side of macaroni salad. The chicken came hot in temperature. It was tender and it was a pretty big order for the price. The skin was crispy. It was delicious! The macaroni salad wasn't anything spectacular. 10 10 recommend this place if you are craving Korean fried chicken! They have several flavors to choose from. They all sound delicious!
