"If you always order togo you are certainly missing out. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining in this time and we did not regret it. The experience was so much better. The owner of this place is just super friendly and provides amazing hospitality. I recomend trying the Avacado Boba with rainbow jelly- no it isn't weird and doesn't taste like Avocado. It taste sweet and creamy ? the Bento box I ordered was amazing. I got spicy salmon roles and teriyaki chicken. It came with 2 gyoza and a fried tempura shrimp plus a side salad. All the food was fresh. All together we spent a bit of money but it's always worth it because there's sooo many left overs!"

"If you don't expect fancy dining but are looking for excellent Chinese food at affordable prices, this place may be for you. Yen Ching is hidden away in a rather desolate shopping plaza in the International District, among mostly Korean restaurants and other businesses. Don't be discouraged by the externals. The inside is nicely decorated in standard Chinese-restaurant manner. The menu is extensive with plenty of house specialties. We tried Szechuan beef, Szechuan tofu and an eggplant dish, all very nice. The deep fried eggrolls were not quite up to the quality of the entrees. Plenty of other choices for appetizers and soups. The tea was a bit unusual, and very good. Portions are large. Three people ate well for sixty bucks (plus tip). The wait time was long and the service was, frankly, a bit brusque, although otherwise good. But hey, it was Christmas and the place was packed. Recommend visiting during non-peak times and consider making a reservation. You could pass this place many times and never notice it, but it's been around for quite awhile and has a large and devoted local following."

"At my lunch break at work I needed to find a place to eat. The Chicken Teriyaki was very good here. The staff was very kind to me from the moment I walked into the place they treated me well and I really enjoyed my lunch. It was a wonderful experience eating at this place and I would highly recommend if your looking for a good lunch to come to this place."

"From here before and we loved it. just ordered dinner for the family and I am beyond unsatisfied. waiting for an hour to come. lacking 3 fried rice portions, and eating has no taste at all. spicy huhn teriyaki is not spicy or even mild. we will not order from here again."

"Place is in the food court of an older third world style mall. Place is older and you can see the cooking. Because it is older it looks dirty but I don't think so. Food is great. I have eaten here several times before covid. If you don't care what the place looks like it is inexpensive the food is good and get it to go."

"Small but nice and cozy! I got soondae and Korean beef soup. Both items were very good, all the side dishes were excellent as well. The Korean guy was very nice and welcoming. I will be coming back more often!"
