"Let me begin by saying I love LoLo 's. The food is delicious and the service is usually impeccable. I visited earlier today. The shrimp was the soup of the day. One of the employees said it was very good. I ordered it. When the shrimp rubberbo arrived, it was not as hot as it should be and had already begun to congeal. It was harder than a soup. The person I was eating with agreed that it was pretty thick. I'm not a Gumbo expert, but I've eaten it several times. Neither the color nor the consistency resembled any gumbo I've ever had. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the shrimp rubber. I explained and showed the congealed shrimp gum to the employee at the counter. He insisted that it was the right consistency. He just said it was gum. I asked if I could replace the rubber bear for another article in the menu. He first said I couldn't, but then he said he could only give me a veggie article that costs less than the shrimp rubber. He did not offer to repay the difference between the two articles. I'm a sticker for customer service. Although the gentleman at the counter was quite polite when I exchange my request to the shrimp gumbo for another menu item, I should believe that reasonable requests are made by customers if you want them to return. Word of mouth is very important and you never know who visits your institution. Not sure if I or the person I was fed with will return."

"On this pre theatre dinner return visit, we elected to sit upstairs...good move. Much more quiet, better service and an intimate setting, The onion soup was excellent as was the main course meat dish. A solid wine list and out in time for the show next door...Highly recommended"
