"Hello TrippiesSomeone i know from penticton told me to try out the Hooded Merganser while visiting town.It took me about 20 minutes or more to get acknowledged. By the time the server came around I had already picked out my meal. I didn't even get water or a drink at this point. I ordered my mojito and Sante Fe salad at the same time. I'm a foodie and this was the first time my meal came faster than the bartender could whip up my mojito. LolThere was a reason. Pardon my bluntness. It sucked in all ways. The chicken was for sure microwaved. I may as well have spiced up the rubber on my shoe and ate that instead. It had some sort of yogurt dressing that didn't taste like anything. Epic fail on the salad. The mojito was good. I would have had a couple more but the whole experience turned me off enough I didn't want to give the Merganser another dollar. If you want to pay for the view then try them out. If your looking for a full experience including service, unique tasty dishes with the view I would say skip the Merganser.
