"New Anarkali has offered Indian food at Grunerløkka for many years. Nevertheless, most things are the same as before neither worse nor better. The premises appear worn, but cosy. The staff are pleasant and welcoming. Was alone in the restaurant, but still had to wait a LONG time for the food. No papadums and raita, which you often get at other Indian restaurants. This must be ordered and is of the cheap type. No surprises in the main courses pretty standard. Tastes good but nothing special. The nan breads, on the other hand, are very good!. Slightly above normal price."

"The ambience is good..the vibe is good…the food looks amazing.. BUT.. That is not enough..the food is below average. We tried 6 different dishes and everyone turned out to be disappointing. Personally I ordered chicken 65 and it felt like they are using ready to eat frozen chicken to prepare that. And it’s good money that’s involved! Had high expectations but eventually I’m never going there again. The staff is polite and hence I gave an extra star just for that."

"Good central location. From the outside it looks nothing special, but inside you feel it's quite classy, and with a fair number of Indian diners (good sign). The food bowled me over. The tastes were spicy yet subtle and the presentation was superb. If I lived in Oslo I would become a regular customer."

"There is a nice atmosphere. Lots of choice on the menu, delicious naan and fabulous mango lassi. The prices are very reasonable, especially for Oslo. This place is totally recomendable for a relaxed and nice dinner out with friends."
