"With one of our last meals in Honolulu, we decided to splash a special meal at @teppanyakionoderahi. This restaurant serves imported Japanese beef with fresh local ingredients, all prepared before you by a chef on a metal plate (The Teppan). The beef we tried were the Hokkaido Shorthorn Wagyu and the A5 Omi Wagyu. To get a feeling of how the fat Wagyu beef eats, imagine eating a peeled grape. The pieces of beef explode with taste in your mouth without effort. It is definitely something you need to appreciate and we highly, highly recommend it!! The rest of the meal consists of 8 other excellent courses. However, we must show two excellent standout dishes. The fresh Abalone of Kona was really amazing and this night was the best dish!! Cooked with nothing but light seasoning, it really blows you with this “from the sea” taste. The other is the A5 Wagyu Tenderloin sandwich, fried in front of your eyes on a freshly roasted piece of toast, it was really beef heaven! You have other places around the word, and we will definitely visit those in the future!"

"Service was great, all employees very friendly. Our server, Zak, was excellent. Our apps were delicious, we had calamari and poke. Main entrees were just okay. It was Thanksgiving and turkey was not like home cooked meal, not very tasty. Drinks were excellent. Overall, great night. Service, atmosphere, surroundings were all amazing."

"I have ordered something else at Scratch that I did not like (highly recommend the Pork and Apple Pasta). The mood is very casual, so it is a great place to go with friends (but a bit too casual for a romantic date imo). Not much other to say the kitchen really knows what they do and the waiters often check it is just a solid place that deserves to thrive."

"Robata Jinya is our new favorite place for great Japanese food, service and ambience the trifecta! My husband and I hosted a group of 6 for a friend's birthday and everyone RAVED!!! We ordered family style and shared edamame, ceviche, a sashimi platter, nigiri platter, soft shell crav tempura roll, hot stone wagyu garlic rice, agedashi tofu, eggplant with miso, crispy rice spicy tuna nigiri, shrimp tempura, lobster tempura and lots of sake! My husband loves the Sohomare Kimoto Junmai. Kampai! Highly recommend Robata Jinya! And we love their Jinya Ramen Bar and LBD Japanese Bar, too!"
