"We walked past this place during the day, saw they were making fresh pasta, and went back for dinner that night! Everything was so delicious, the chicken, the pasta, yummy margaritas, plus a great beer selection. It's cozy inside and feels like you could be in some European city. Our waitress was crazy busy but very personable and helpful! We were so impressed with La Paz."

"First lots of people are reviewing the wrong restaurant! This Bismark II is not on the malecon, but more inner city at the corner of Altamirano and Degollado streets. That said, the Bismark on the malecon is better! This one is seriously outdated advertising...they were established in 1968, and very little has changed since then. Service was fine. We were four people, and we had the Aguachile (mix of scallops and shrimp) as an appetizer, which was very good and fresh. Main courses included the Shrimp Empanizados (battered, fried shrimp that looked very average), Huachinango Frito (whole fried fish which looked excellent), and the Chiles Rellenos with mixed seafood, which was what I had. The filling (seafood and cheese) was decent, but very bland it took a lot of salsa and jalapeño 's to spice it up. The battered and deep fried coating on the Chiles was disgusting completely soggy from the sauce (which I couldn 't identify but didn 't like). I scraped the batter off and pushed aside as much of the sauce as I could. The dessert selection was missing the one thing we wanted to try: the rose petal ice cream, so we skipped dessert and went elsewhere for ice cream. The wine selection was very limited just one red and one white (according to the waiter), neither of which we wanted. When we opted to just have non alcoholic drinks, he magically found another white wine option, which we did order (and it was a very good Baja wine at the reasonable restaurant price of 480 pesos). So, all in all, a very mixed restaurant, but I wouldn 't choose to go back again. The Bismark on the malecon has much better food, with a great view!"
