"We considered a late breakfast during cycling along the Waterfront Trail. We were hungry and a bit cold, so stayed and enjoyed a conversation with the owner, a good warm coffee and a large large Omelette and Homefries. It was a very cozy and welcoming stop along our route. We were here a few years ago, also cycling along the Waterfront Trail, and were glad to be able to return. The room had expanded and some beautiful outdoor seating were inserted, so it was even better than last time!"

"We decided to try the marina/restaurant despite some not so nice reviews but to our pleasant surprise the stop was a gem! We are always looking for goid places to boat to. The drinks and beer were cold and refreshing and the perch and pickerel...baskets were excellent hot, tasty, great fries. The wait staff were friendly and the boater's view of the marina and water were like being on an island paradise somewhere! And on the Detroit River yes! There is a nice park atmosphere around the restaurant and the marina itself was neat and accommodating to dock in boats up to 30 ft or so. Now mind you, there are some things needing a little tweaking such as repair of the pizza oven and their draft beer tap was broken. But given it was their last weekend of the summer hopefully next year will bring a few upgrades for our definite return."

"My boyfriend and I stopped in here today for a terrific smoked meat sandwich. The garlic aioli sauce is terrific and everything was super fresh. My man also loved the fattoush salad. The owner was very nice too. It is a small establishment but it would be worth the wait. A great new spot for Amherstburg!"

"Ordered the clubhouse with fries and slaw. Average quality and average taste but too expensive for what you get. Inside needs a thorough spring cleaning!! The vents in the ceiling look like they haven't been vacuumed or dusted in years, the floor has ground-in dirt that will probably never come out, the glass cabinets were filled with finger prints and dust. You can see cob-webs hanging down from the ceiling... and this is the dining area. I shudder to see what the kitchen looks like.I would never take any one there to eat as I would be embarrassed by the uncleanliness. The one positive note, the coffee is good."
