"What a disappointment! In addition to a correct meal, if you want to attend a happening worthy of Cauchemar in the kitchen regarding the management of the reception, the service and the room, you will enjoy! Flying servers, barely friendly to execrable, which managed to surprise more than one table during our passage and make us leave before dessert."

"What to say, just amazing! The food was lovely: a few choices from this season, fresh products and plates very rich of flavours. The risotto was one of the best I haver had (and I come from Milan, the city of risotto). The place is worm and fashion. Highly suggested."

"Maufoux is a tiny gem. The menu is as delicious as it is simple just a choice of four starters and four main courses which allows the one-chef kitchen to maintain the high standards. Everywhere in Burgundy serves Gougeres (cheesy choux pastry balls of deliciousness). Service at Maufoux always starts with them and they are the best I’ve tried. The wine list is as extensive as you would expect but the prices are surprisingly reasonable. There are two small rooms, simply and tastefully decorated and the owner or her colleague could not be more welcoming. If quality and simplicity it what you like then this is the place. (they also have a place in Chablis and a posh version in Meursault)."

"We went based on a recommendation and sorely regretted it. The meal started out ok but it was obvious that once the waiter realized that we didn’t speak French well that he lost interest in us. We watched other tables get better service and the meal wasn’t worth the wait. Everywhere else in Beaune that we’ve eaten at has been better"

"This restaurant had the most inviting menu of the ones that we looked at, so we selected it for lunch. We arrived just on 12 and had our choice of tables, about ten minutes later the restaurant was full! The beet risotto and duck were...good starters, the chicken with pomme a dauphinois delicious and the fish with rice nice. The premier cru Beaune was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant made for a very pleasant lunch."
