"Superb British Pub don't expect more than a warm, cozy public house environment complete with good pub fare. Food on offer varies from classic Cornish pasties to Millennial friendly avocado on sourdough. Beer choices include a house lager and ale, while local breweries act as guests, like Fortune Favours and Red Reef. So many wine options, beer drinkers are normally a little taken aback. Free venue hire; hot cider, mulled wine and buttered rum on Tuesdays; and, Pies and Pints on Thursdays. Can't get better. A colour interior is very Best of British kitsch, but this adds to the positive atmosphere and good vibes. Go here after work for a pint and enjoy house mates or colleagues at a good stop on the way home."

"Their food is full of flavour! I didn’t expect that a small cafe in a suburb would be my preferred place for Thai food. They have one Thai option, as far as I know, and it’s amazing. Tandoori chicken in garlic naan. My wife also enjoyed a pulled pork burger. Good coffee too. The only reason they lost a star is the limited seating during lunch hour. There’s not much they can do about it, but guests should be aware. My family had to wait in the cold for our lunch, and then wait for people to leave so we can claim a spot inside."

"I am giving 5 stars for their food quality which I didn 't get anywhere in Wellington as they all had some sweet taste in their curries which is not delicious according to the Indian taste... Moreover, one of their staff member 'Reshma ' suggested some dishes according to our taste... We enjoyed the food immensely. So thanks to her as well and great thumbs up for chef 's."

"Wanted to have the White bait restaurant for dinner but selections were too pricey and expensive. Hence we chance upon this restaurant. It serves more than just Coffee, they serve amazing fine dining quality food. Had the seafood platter for two which was amazing but feel that portion fits 1 only. The other food portion were adequate. 4 pax ordered 2 steak (fantastic btw) , fish, seafood platter, mussels and clam side dish, garlic bread and tiramisu truffles costing up to $151. The seafood served like Mussels clams were the biggest freshest we have ever eaten in NZ. Service was prompt and lovely. Friendly crews and beautiful clean toilets too! Highly recommend for all to come try."

"Gourmet fish and chips!<br/ <br/ This fish and chip shop has a wonderful menu. You can choose to have your fish beer battered, panko crumbed, tempura battered, gluten-free battered or grilled and you can have hand cut Agria chips,crinkle cut chips, beer battered chips, kumara chips or curly fries. There are several house salads and sides on offer or you can select something from their burger/sandwich menu. We opted to have grilled tarakihi and trevally, hand cut Agria chips and a coleslaw. It was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented and quite reasonably priced too."

"I love Sal's and am thrilled it's finally here in Wellington. TBH I like Sal's a lot more than Tommy Millions but I could be accused of being biased as I'm from Auckland...My husband and I came here the first or second week (n/s) of their opening, and the place was pumping. A very busy lunch. We got a booth and enjoyed nice cold beers, garlic knots, and a delicious mammoth pizza (whole) . We spent just under $50. Well worth it. Timings were appropriate for food arrival given it was so busy. Service was super friendly even under the pump. I liked watching hockey on the monitor, always a thrill to watch men with blunt sticks and beards skate around while I knock back a beer haha -just kidding. Def will be back."
