"Food ok, with ups and downs. some interesting dishes other definitely forgetable. the service was good and the employees are all very courteous. they didn't make us pay with the card (they say pos fault,) but it seems like a thick excuse encamped with who book with thefork. But at least they had the kindness to warn us as soon as they entered."

"The Service was friendly but very Unprofessionel. Once we ordered, we got the drinks and Food but They Never ask us for any more Drinks or desert, even though we were 4 Hours in the restaurant. The waiters weren‘t busy, so it was not clear, why the was so unmotivated to bring us more Drinks.. We had to wait really Long inbetween the courses. A friend joined us, we played a Game, but there waiters didn’t came and ask the new guest what to drink…. The food: First: We waited really long for Every meal. Second: No meal was good: it wasnt really Tasty, not salted, some meals were cold, (Pasta) .and: the pumkin lasagne was without Pasta, just with pumpkin, Béchamel Sauce and cheese, so really fat and it was not possible to finish This meal because of that. In the end i told the waitress about the lasagne without Pasta and because of my unhappiness she brought us shots. That was very Nice."

"We spent several days in Florence and Francesco Vini really stands-out as our favourite meal. We started by splitting portions of fried pasta dough (served with tuscan prosciutto e cream cheese) and Florentine egg Benedict (with truffled pecorino cream, spinach and crispy pancetta). We picked them out as something different and glad we did as both were wonderful starters. Two of us then split a Bistecca alla fiorentina with my wife and daughter ordering pasta. We ordered our steak rare with potatoes spinach and it was, along with the pasta dishes, cooked perfectly. I've not had another Bistecca to compare but as far as I was concerned it was pretty much faultless. The service was first-rate with our waiter perfectly balancing professionalism with being approachable and chatty. All in all a fantastic experience and the first place we will book if we go back to Florence."

"My wife and I lowered our expectations after (1) reading these reviews of the service and cuisine; (2) realizing we would be dining with no view of Florence; (3) understanding that we had no choice unless we wanted to plunge into the city on our one-night stay at the Hilton. But Luci della Citta has a pleasant atmosphere, good food, and real value for the Euro. Critics of this Hilton are right about the dismal look of the Executive Lounge at the top of the building, but the restaurant on what Americans would call the 2nd floor is an oasis. We rarely eat in the restaurants of chain hotels. We would return to this one the next time we are in transit through the Florence airport (a close. . . but 20 euro taxi ride, nota bene)"
