"Amazing! Eat delicious- great evening as usual celebrating nye- the owner is so welcoming and professional. the restaurant and the toilets are always immaculate. "We went for a meal with our 86 year old relative who is very infirm and has a throat problem, so can’t eat large amounts of food. He found something on the kids menu that would have been perfect, but when it came to ordering we were told that he would be charged double the price £20) for a kids meal, as he was an adult! When we pointed out that he’d be eating the same amount of food as a child, we were told ‘that was the managers decision as it’s meant for kids’. So we ended up ordering a soup for £7, when the kids meal would have been £10. I pointed out that they would actually be taking less money from us because of their stupid decision to charge double, and was told again it was ‘the managers decision’ Based on observation it emerged that the manager was a guy-chewing female who was sat at one of the dining tables with a laptop whilst there were customers present. At no point did this individual make any effort to engage with us or explain her ridiculous decision. She left her staff to give us the bad news, who I actually felt sorry for as it clearly wasn’t their fault. The only interaction we had with the manager was when she deigned to clear some of our plates without saying a word and leant right over me to pick up the plate. No apology for her decision, no explanation, just silence. The other staff made a lot of effort and salvaged the situation from being a total disaster, but the manager clearly has no people skills, no regard for disabled/elderly customers and has no place working in the hospitality industry. We will never visit the Windmill or any Hush Heath establishment again following the disgraceful treatment of our elderly relative."

"I will never order from this place again . The delivery time given is never what they say it is going to be . You can't ring them to chase up the order, as soon as you do you get cut off immediately! The order was wrong , missing items and alternatives not ringing us to make sure that's ok . When we actually did receive our food , I was asked if I wanted the change !!! Hmmm yes I think so what a cheek !! Don't order from here go elsewhere the isn't up to standard either !"

"Dear Fish on the Green You are the Dish of my Dreams I had a beautiful ‘reacquainting myself with restaurant life after lockdown’ lunch today. The Oysters Rockerfeller and the Lobster Thermidor exceeded all expectations. And the Muscadet was smooth and dry and chilled. Everything was deliciously perfect."
