"Good food and great staff. The bar can be a bit noisy with locals. They welcome dogs in the bar and have a good menu and a large garden, with a dog free restaurant."

"I brought a takeaway from spice cottage and they were so lovely, I 100% recommend this place especially if you want some actual spice in your food, my partner and I both had two different lamb dishes and they were perfect, spice cottage also ran out of their kulfi but that was totally fine by us as they told us within a couple minutes of ordering and gave us a refund and extra poppadoms and sauces, I've had a great night thanks to them :D"

"Love eating here. there is a nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. I am disabled and I find a lot of restaurant seating is very unpleasant, but the seats here are comfortable, making for a better culinary experience. eating is always nice with very interesting menu choices; it is hard to choose what you sometimes have! I especially liked the cavolo nero starter and my man recommends very the brioche brot and butter pudding. always excellent every time"

"More recent work that open the bar area have received the character and feeling of the place. good eating and a great selection of local ales, mhb black pear recommended. if you are happy with the weather there is the view of the best beer garden in the U.K. also visited one of the best music evening here, w small venue, but that is what it did great."

"It crawls on you, becomes old. in a minute they spend their weekends at camp parties and stumble around seven watches, then next they take a serious interest in kitchen utensils and invest in a pension. a thing that I realized when I became older (and hopefully a little wiser) is that my mother and dad were actually right about many things that my former self was sure they were oh so wrong. my hair black to color? great idea. a week to float over my first break? not worth it and all these long walks in the country? really fucking nice. especially those with a decent pub at the end thereof; one where you can sit in front of a roaring fire, the feeling slowly back to her cees, and sat down her appetit with some really good scrub."

"I had a simple meal of the standard pickle tray and popadoms, a huge excellent pashwari nan, a very thick somewhat bland darka dhal (not to my liking) and Green Massala Lamb. Two zero alcohol beers. £27. It is just far too much money, when you compare it with what one can buy in a supermarket and cook at home. The Massala was nothing special, but back home turned out to have a very acidic effect on my digestion, soon solved by a large glass of milk. Overall I sympathise with the rising costs these business face, but it unless they provide something really special, it is just not good value."
