"We visited the Mudgee Brewing Co for lunch. A fire helped warm us up against what was a very cold day. There's 8 beers on tap including the legendary Mudgee Mud - an awesome Imperial Stout. The back story to the brewery is worth reading in the menu. This incarnation of a Mudgee brewer will soon celebrate its 10th birthday.Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (need to check website for dinner openings). Food was very reasonably priced and very generous in helpings. I had the "beef borg" (bourgignon) special for $16 and it was very hearty. Vego daughter loved her pumpkin salad. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.Beer is awesome and at $6 a schooner for craft beer ($8 for Mudgee Mud, but it is 8.5%) - it is very fairly priced. I love eating and relaxing in a working brewery.A must for beer drinkers and a good venue for anyone who likes good food"

"Popped in as we were browsing the shops of Mudgee. We were specifically looking for local sweets so the shelves of lollies weren't really of interest to us. The creamy fudge was made by the owner and that was the only thing we bought. I...think the owner needs to do more to promote her locally made produce. We nearly left before noticing the fridge fully of fudge. And the staff were chatting out the back so there was no one encouraging us to buy any of the other products."

"Had to wait an hour before getting our entrees, then had to get waitresses attention for service. Mains came out an hour after the entrees and were cold, meals were nice but would have been better had they been hot or even warm, we ate...them cold as we had waited long enough and were hungry. Had to ask someone if we could pay as no-one was attending the register. Simply not good enough, our patience had gone after hour and a half, only 5 tables were taken plus ours, should have better service with such a small amount of people there. They need more employees to help in the restaurant......."
