"On a two night stay in Picton in October, we actually ate at the Café Cortado both nights as we enjoyed it so much. Despite being very busy both nights, they were able to accommodate us and we found the service to be very friendly and attentive. The first night my husband had the blue cod fish, chips and salad, and I had the blue cod pan fried over vegetable risotto both excellent! The second night we did not think we would be lucky enough to get a seat. We had just watched a wonderful parade through the main street of town where some of the team members of the New Zealand's winning America's Cup team were there to show off the cup and the huge crowds began to disperse to bars and restaurants. We were just about to give up as we were told to expect a very long wait, when a lovely gentleman from Dunedin who was just finishing up his meal, offered us his table, and the wait staff encouraged us to go for it. We both enjoyed pizza, a bottle of wine and very good cappucino's to cap it off. We really liked this restaurant, and despite being run off their feet, the staff remained friendly and took good care of us. Would recommend."

"After spending a wonderful afternoon visiting several farms in Prince Edward County, my wife and I thought we would catch it with a refreshing gelato from the winery boutique. We arrived at 10 minutes to find out they're closing the Gelato bar. When we explained that we traveled to the end of the county for her Gelato, they said we were sorry, but we left the spoons! While we realize that missing on Gelato is not so big, we felt robbed of a possibly unforgettable moment. Staff in all other facilities we visited in the county helped create such unforgettable moments. What could have been a perfect end to a wonderful day that ended in disappointment at the Waupoos Estates Winery Boutique."

"Under chef-owner Ivan Williams, the Milford Bistro is again the place to go in the County for welcoming warm greetings in a romantic spot with superb attractively priced creative cookery from a passionate chef. Worth a detour, as Michelin would say. The chef cares so much about your experience he sat down with us following the meal to ask our opinions. Sam the server helped us through ordering local beers and wine, including Lighthall sparkling rosé and Grange Cab Franc, a personal favourite. We had a beautifully composed spinach/walnuts salad with Boursin and to die for house made potato coins or chips with aioli for starters and local lamb sausage and garlic mash and a veggie curry with a chicken addition that was also well spiced not just tossed on top. There was house-made flatbread and apple crumble with local berries. In our years of visiting the County it's been one of top places to visit but previous owners didn't get off the ground; now Ivan has and it's taking off soon to take very proud flight. We will go a second time on our stay here."

"We have ordered from Pie Guy's a few times now. It's great that we can get late night delivery in Picton, we sure needed it. I ordered the wings on our first try and thought maybe I ordered incorrectly, and possibly didn't read the menu right. I was expecting messy, saucy hot wings. So, the next time I ordered, I figured I best ask for wings, hot being the type of sauce I wanted. Again, not what I expected. The wings were a nice size, the legs were very big (just not my fav.) Next time, I'll ask for a side of hot sauce, as I wasn't a fan of the taste of the breading. We've also had the lasagna, garlic bread, meat pies, burgers, and Poutine. The food always arrives hot and on time, and is very tasty."
