"Effes used to be the best buy as of late have lacked in the quality front. Ordered today and it was OK, better than the last time but still not up to the standard they once were. The food was pretty good for a late...night meal but the quality was not good enough pitta was a little dry but quite greasy, the meat had obviously been reheated. "Came for the lobster and want to come back for the staff, honestly couldn't have asked for any more in terms of service, this place has hands down been one of my favorite restaurant experiences, the staff were super friendly and the food was on another level. I'll never forget this place."

"Really nice meal friendly staff, but we got the bill and there is a £1 charge as a Charity Donation, put on whether you want to donate or not, not that I mind, but you seriously need to name the Charity, this should be told to you, so your clients know what they are donating too, it could be a charity that you already donate too..!!!!!! This probably will not stop us going back."

"After a bit of Xmas shopping, the wife and I decide to try the food here. After queuing at the bar for nearly 10 mins mins, we decided to go upstairs, where there was a sign saying wait here to be seated . A sign or person needs to be downstairs to say this. We ordered the festive sharer (see pic). It was really good and pretty filling . My favorite was the mozzarella bites. And for £17.99, pretty good value as well."

"The Hong Kong Teabar is under new ownership and the experience seems to have improved. At first I noticed changes to the dishes and thought that it was going to be a change for the worse but after going back a few times more I think it's actually better than it was before. The old owners seem to have plenty of issues with environmental health which was always a bit of a downer when the food seemed good. I spoke to the new proprietor soon after he took the business on and he seemed like a decent person. I will be continuing my weekly visit because I love the place. I took my visiting friend there and he used to live in Portsmouth. He said he'd walked past it many times without knowing how good the food was and claimed that his Kung Po Chicken with Singapore noodles was the best chinese food He'd ever eaten."

"Lovely looking restaurant, my starter was delicious! Main course not so much! Was detailed as chicken makahni on the menu, definitely wasn't chicken makahni was very bland and lacking flavour! Explains this to the waiter, no apology he just wanted my money! I tipped too (what a mug) waiters also not very welcoming, hey ho you live and learn. Some businesses just don't take pride in the service they deliver."
