"Had a slightly hard time finding the restaurant as I wasn't expecting it to be a small one. Upon entering inside, the interior was pretty cozy, furnished with classic Chinese coffee shop setup. Service was good, didn't have to speak Chinese for the waiter to understand. Ordered the dried shrimp roe noodles, came with 3 generously big wonton. Added on dumplings and fried tofu which tasted more like fishball but overall their food was tasty. Must be the pork lard oil that came with the noodles."

"The first time asam laksa and I really enjoyed it, the broth is well balanced between sour, spicy and sweet. I expected more sour, but pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful to find me a table like myself. Many people stared at me because I was the only white person in the whole area. The couple I shared a table was very friendly and said not many white foreigners coming to the neighborhood."

"From 30. Apr’22, probably the #1 Char Kuey Teow in Penang, this “Si-fu” old uncle still cooks over a coalfire and as we all know you can do this crowd. Must be dedicated to 1 record at a time. It is all experience and timing, he observes how the food looks and smells before it tastes out. There are plenty “wok hei”, and with the 1. You can taste the taste immediately. Looks like the special lard sauce he holds on his wok. It has a great balance with the pigeon, egg, chives, cocksuckers and shrimps. I really hope he'll give it to his next genes."

"My recent visit to this famous eatery was pleasant. The food was delicious and the teh ais was awesome!! The portion is quite large too. However the parking place is not that easy to go if you're not familiar with the area. There was a parking lot on the opposite side of the restaurant but now there is a building in construction. To go to the parking lot behind the eatery, you need to check out two entries. One from Chulia St and another from Kampong Malabar"
