"I ordered fish and chips that they were in a position to freeze. there is no separate frit for the pommes, but I had no problems with the pommes. mary shared that they also have gluten-free brot. eating and service was great! they also had a good selection of cowbell ciders."

"My wife and I came here for the 1st time on an evening that was stormy outside. It was nice to be inside this lovely big home converted into fine restaurant. Atmosphere was cozy, like you were invited into someone's home for an elegant dinner.The...service was excellent and we were greeted by the owner.We were seated by a lovely big window with stain glass and lace curtains. Everything was excellent from the fish chowder and sage bread to the Lobster tail and beef tenderloin! Wonderful food, service and atmosphere! In our opinion the most lovely dining experience in the Goderich area!!"

"Had a terrible experience at the beach road station. I wanted to have a nice dinner with a group of friends. We called five days ahead to see if we could come in and the manager said we were good to come. Quickly before the day we went for our hour and half a ride, we call to make sure we can sit, and they told us we're going well as long as we sit on the terrace. When we get there, the host immediately denies that there was no room. Then they left two groups of 5 after we got away. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Wouldn't recommend."

"My wife and I visited for the first time after a 5 year hiatus. We ordered fish and chips of which the request was a lightly batted version of fish.Our first version of it unfortunately was a very soggy pair of fish that was not fully cooked and with more batter than wanted.It was brought back in. The cooking staff seemed surprised and asked what was wrong (that in itself was a bit of a red flag for me).The manager requested a new batch made and even offered some options as a compensation although this was declined. She made a point of bringing the next batch for me to precheck before I left (which was nice of her).It was better cooked, hotter but will admit still heavier in batter than cared for.Compared to the previous visit it appears to have lost some of its charm.Not sure if we will return any time soon."

"Knowledgeable servers. They checked and informed me the grilled chicken was done in the morning at the same time as pitas on the grill, so I could avoid. I ended up with beat and cheese salad with sautéed shrimp. I wasn’t in the mood for baked wings or would have gone for that. I felt safe, not a huge selection, but I’d go again."
