"Where do I start? The appetizers of course!!! The fried green tomatoes, with homemade Pimento cheese, and decorated with their own recipe pepper jelly is the perfect combination of sweet and savory and have your next trip to enjoy in this culinary size!!! The ribey and asparagus are second to no!!! The steak was perfectly cooked and the flavors were absolutely incredible!!! Do not forget the fresh honey butter croissants!!! Who needs Dessert with those on the table? But we went ahead and enjoyed the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and a dab of chocolate mousse! The service was wonderful. Abby and Michael understand the true meaning of customer service and make customers more than a priority; they make you feel like a long lost friend. Thank you for this incredible experience. From deep in the heart of Texas, Shugs has become my new taste destination!"

"That was an excellent experience. I met my mom for dinner in my favorite charming little town. We chose this place because the facility looked nice than other places opened on Sunday. The place was packed, which is a great sign with the work shortages and of course general recovery after COVID-19. There was a moderate waiting to get to a table and then place our order, but it was 't because they were only little staff. You had enough people, but it was so full. The staff was so concerned that they almost run at the places to get orders. We didn't make the delay because we were there to visit and relax. The food was great. Mom made many choices like the size of the guacamole (she was certainly small what we needed, I did not concur) and if we had more chips (no) but actually, yes. We have the Guac without the spices and it was good. Chips were warm and when the food came, it was nice and hot. After fillings were punctual, but I drink like a fish and went with the big water and then added a lemonade as I avoid caffeine after the trip from Charlotte. I think this place is an American-style Mexican restaurant. I mean, it's a bean and rice field with unlimited chips and salsa. I expect roads tacos in Mexico are probably a bit different, but there are four types of Tacos Bur I did not ask. There's nothing wrong with it and was my expectation. What counted was the food was hot and the service was fast and she got a big tip because it (bring cash if you can, that is South Carolina and you will get a discount for it). I'd say this is the best bean and rice place I was at. It was a pleasant experience to say the least and quite a find in this cozy city. I ordered the #1 with an extra taco. I don't know what Mom ordered, but I was sure it was pretty delicious, like the Margarita. Very recommended. They still use disposable menus so that the pictures here 't reflect normal times."

"Got takeout at the buffet bar. The take out plates are entirely smaller compared to other restaurants. The owner continuously walked around the bar watching me as I placed food onto my plate. Why? I had money to pay and had no intentions of leaving with my full plate of food without paying. Im not used to be watched like Im some kind of criminal."

"The first thing that I noticed upon entering was a horrible smell...absolutely nauseating. Unfortunately, my husband was determined to buy chicken from here. I guess he was tired after the long drive.The cashier was rude. She greeted us with Is this carry out or dine in . No hello, no how can I help you.The main issue was the amount of large flies circling around. I have never seen so many big flies inside a restaurant. Maybe the plumbing was backed up, maybe the dining room needed a deep cleaning; maybe the employees should keep the door closed when taking a break...definitely would not recommend."

"It was several years since I visited here. The previous experience was enough to keep me away. But tonight we enjoyed our meal. We have sushi and have a generous part. It was delicious. Our Hibachi Steak was also very good. The waiters kept our glasses full, which is always a challenge for me. Since I'm trying tonight, I'm sure I want to go back."
