"I'm here for a conference nearby and when I try to eat in a new area in local places instead of chains. I read some reviews and this place sounded like some of the restaurants I know in NC and LA. I was greeted with a number of bright smiles by the staff when I came in. Almost as soon as I sat, Monica came by and put the fixes on the table. I ordered the sweet tea (which was just about perfect, some places really lace it with the sugar, Uncle Bud did it perfectly). The hush puppies looked a little different from what I was used to, but they tasted great. The beans were also excellent. The claws and the cucumbers were solid, but I didn't eat the raw onion. Okay, here's the enlightenment. I know they have a catfish for a logo, they talk about catfish on their website, the catfish is iconic here. I took a chance and ordered the Gator. Man, I'm happy. I have to say this was a good gator I had outside Louisiana. If you've never tried gator, you can't go wrong here. You have actually set a very high bar. I also have the fried Okra, it was decent. Unfortunately, I was filled (how loose the belt full) because I would like to have tried one of the desserts. I wish I'd live closer, I'd definitely be a normal one."

"I am a born and bred Californian, so for me to say that this was the best tacos I ever had, is a great thing. the beef tacos were made by far head and shoulders over the others they served, only fyi. taco tortillas homemade. salsa, guac and all marinaden homemade. they bend the cards. we went back and ate there again a second time we thought it was so good."

"Amazing Service! We ended up arriving early and they easily got us a table even though our reservation was 45-50 mins later. For someone who has never went to a fancy restaurant this was beyond amazing! Very romantic feel and relaxing. After a walk down Broadway this was a great way to end the night. We had a Groupon which made the price worth it! The food was incredible! Again for not having experience with fancy restaurants I enjoyed myself. Well worth the once in a while experience. Everything we ordered was very delicious and we couldn't wait to open our to-go boxes the next day. We had Bruschette and wine together He order the Swordfish/asparagus/Potato/Cucumber sauce Special I ordered Chicken Alfredo Penne"

"Eating in paradise.. I am a Nashville local and still find myself eating at this restaurant A LOT. Yes, they are a little pricey but I definitley recommend trying this place for any special occasion or taking any visitors from out of town! The atmosphere is fun and the staff are always really friendly. Someone on stilts is always making ballon hats for kids AND adults! I get the fried chicken everytime which I think is priced at about $15. You get what you pay for. 2 HUGE chicken breasts covered with gravy with the freshest green beans and mashed potatos. This is my favorite restaurant! 5 out of 5."

"We just ate here a few times. The few times we have are always terrible. I made reservations for Father's Day, we get there a lobby full of people waiting without hosts. We stood there 15 minutes before a waitress came through and asked if we needed help. I told him we had reservations. He informed me that nothing was ready and gave him a second to finish it. We waited five minutes. We finally sit down and we waited 20 minutes for our waitress. I finally saw a worker Walker and asked for the manager. It took almost ten minutes to get to our table. At this point, I am angry, but not gone because my husband really wanted to eat there. The manager comes and apologizes, says he just walked in and will bring someone to us right away. We waited for another 7 minutes until the waitress comes and took our drinks order. She'll finally come and get our drinks. The manager comes by and asks if she took our food order. I told him he took our food job. His name was Al, he was really nice. He must fire his staff. There were so many people upset and it was ridiculous. We had to wait for our food for a while. They have lost us as customers, and it is also sad because they actually have good food. You just have to hire better people to work this facility. Maybe not open on holidays because they obviously cannot deal with the rush."

"First off, I forgive them for lack of quality service and quality food, due to lack of HELP. This is an ongoing problem for many restaurants and businesses these days. However, if you are going to open your doors for business with limited staff, you have to step way up to keep patrons coming back. My salmon was cooked hard as a brick. I sent it back and received one as firm as a mattress. I suppose if I had sent it back once more I would have received one as soft as a feather. ? ???? OK, I'm back. Our server was also the manager. He was all over the place....frazzled, but calm at the same time. My friends and I felt really sorry for him. On a good note, the pasta was delicious ?. We also really enjoyed our endless Caesar salads and bread. This helped tide us over during the looonnnng time before our food arrived....(refer back to the previously mentioned salmon). I hope help comes soon. This could have been a 2 rating. ?"
