"Good mariscos !! BUT of their menu is SPICY !!! service is acceptable . it's a huge challenge to order one dish without black pepper and or other peppers .. it almost seems they are proud of overspicing every dish they have .. I have been. times only to order the same dish camaron cordon bleu , which they are capable of making without any pepper .. their prices are not cheap but they give good value for money . I shall return .. ONLY for that one dish .. without pepper . they also have frog's legs . pairs per order .. a dish hard to find around here .."

"Many of the dining establishments in Ajijic cater to expats' various international tastes, but we have been seeking good Mexican fare during our short visit. We found it at Tony's, where the Fajitas were top-notch and the tasty beef confirmed Tony's claim of superior meat supply. The coconut shrimp were crispy and full of flavor, and the portions very generous. Attentive wait staff made this a very pleasant dinner. We intend to return soon."

"On Allen W Lloyd street just North of the carretera there is a wonderful little restaurant, only open for breakfast and lunch. The ambiance is pure Mexican, no garden or great views, however, the food is great. Jesus Teresa treat their guests like family....Teresa is an excellent cook and makes the best tortillas we have EVER had hand patted, not pressed. We also had excellent shrimp, fish fillet with Mexican sauce (pescado Mexicana), Carne en Su Jugo, etc. Going towards Chapala from Ajijic, you would turn left at the light past Walmart and it is on the right side of Allen W Lloyd, across from the gym. Go - you will not be disappointed in the food!"

"We own an apartment that is about ten minutes walk from Pollos Asados al Carbon El Amigo Don David (we didn't know the name so far) and are weekly customers. The chicken is wonderful. It is tasteful and juicy. The employees are very excited about the customers. They get a chicken from the grill and the lady there are a few sharp wobbles with her machete like a cracker. 8 or 10 pieces per chicken. You get your pages. We lie the Cole Slav, the Makkaroni salad, the potatoes, the salsa and the pico de gallo. We exchange the tortilla stack and the free refresco (soda) for an additional salad. There are different packages, depending on how many chickens you want to buy and you can only get chicken without sides. WARNING: They sometimes sell the early bird at 5 p.m...."

"We were there years ago and ma have they put it together. Homemade pasta made to order with fresh vegetable or classic sauces, or salads. I had Bolognaise (fettuccine) and my wife had angel's hair with herbs and shrimp. Both very good- really surprisingly so give the look as it is somewhat bland. there weren't many wine choices - red or white. but this is an excellent place for a good lunch. Our hosts had a chicken Caesar and herbed angel hair pasta. The dishes going to the other tables looked ..and smelled good too. Good bread, too. It's nothing fancy - no date night material but for a good honest bowl of good pasta- top of the list! It's lunch only - closes at 4 pm"
