"I visited Smokin Jalapeño for lunch on my first visit and really enjoyed it. I had the Taco combo. It consisted of a Nashville hot fried chicken Taco, a fried shrimp Taco, street corn and Mexican rice. It was a delicious meal, neat atmosphere and good service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"If you want perfect crab, come here. There is parking right out front and they crabs are ready to go! You can get them cooked and cleaned or live! The price was 1/3 of what you will find at the grocery stores. The lady’s working the shop are so friendly. And there are all kinds of goodies for sale besides crab, including smoked and fresh fish!"

"I really wanted to be impressed by the food but felt overwhelmingly meh about everything. We ordered a lot for two people!Things we ordered:Woodear mushroom and smashed cucumber these were really refreshing and helped balance the fattier things we ordered.Shrimp balls great flavor, generous size but it felt too big and cumbersome to eat. I was expecting something more delicate, bite sized with thinner crunchy bits.Lobster shiumai tasty but the truffle flavor was quite light. Wanted more oomph from this one.Beijing noodles they felt very dry to me.Seafood gyoza they were just ok.Tom yum XLB a bit doughy but unique and pleasant tom yum flavor.Lamb dumplings by far my favorite item that we ordered.Honestly, not usually this fussy about food but couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed."

"I dined at a this cosy restaurant and tried their vegetarian Mapo tofu, and it was fantastic! The flavors were rich Szechuan style and the tofu was perfectly cooked. I also ordered steamed rice, which complemented the dish well. To complete the meal, I had a refreshing cup of iron goddess tea. Overall, the experience was delightful, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for their delicious vegetarian options and cozy ambiance.Vegetarian options: Impossible Mapo tofu"

"Ambiance of the restaurant was great and the service was good. There are outdoor, indoor, and backyard dining options. Fish n chips portion size was great for the price. I thought the batter was a tad salty but others may enjoy it. The Cajun seasoning on the fries were great. The gumbo had great flavors. If there was only one item I could order, I?d probably go for the gumbo. The beignets weren?t anything revolutionary, but they were a good way to end the meal. Overall"

"Went here after a baseball game. They managed to keep up a high level of service even tho every table was full. The food is really good. Everyone was happy with every thing. The guac is a good portion for a table of 6 casual gauc eaters. The meats were fresh and tasty. I really liked the watermelon basil auga fresca. The habanero salsa has peanuts in it so heads up. I didn't drink but the tequila selection was vast."

"Woooof. I walked in and the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Something was happening with the kitchen staff/servers/manager. The vibe was awful, but it was 8:15 and most things close around 9/10 according the google maps so I had to just deal with it. It also doesn’t help that it seems the whole place has an identity crisis. Black and white tile floor but then lots of pretty wood and then like a newish marble bar? Nothing worked together. I also think the reviews and pics on google are a bit confusing as I think some are for the former tavern. Only a few patrons in the restaurant, but the servers seemed annoyed to help. Every time the server came over to take my order she was rushed and irritated even though the place was not busy. It was a very bizarre experience. Not enjoyable at all. If I was anywhere else, I honestly would have walked out based on vibes when I first got there but I was in the area for work and options were very limited on a Tuesday eve. "So delicious. Ordered the steamed fish and tofu, and beef pancake as other reviewers suggested, both were incredible. Got a pork and cabbage stir fry which was also very good but maybe slightly over seasoned. I keep going back for the steamed fish and tofu, I've tried to make it myself and it was so disappointing so I'll just have to keep coming back. Service is also very efficient and attentive. Couldn't want for anything more."
