"We arrived to Aldea Zama from CUN right after 8:00pm and this place was in about 5 minutes walk from the place we stayed in. We felt tired after a long flight from Vancouver and decided to go there and rest then. Everything was amazing there - food, service, ambiance itself and especially the owner Don who came by our table personally to greet us and have a little chat about this and that."

City: Tulum, Carretera Tulum Ote. Esquina Con la Entrada de Villas Tulum, Tulum 77717, Mexico
"You might think that this restaurant is a little far from downtown Tulum village, but hey, it's far closer than that on the beach! It is about 5-8 minutes walk from the satellite road (Scotia Bank . This short walk (or just take a taxi! total... I don't write reviews often, so if I do, because I really loved the place and the food. the food at la Flecha : OMG!!! delicious, just really delicious. A fish taco costs about 28 pesos, I had 4 tacos and it was perfect for someone who is quite hungry. Vegans need to try the vegano (o vegetarian, can not remember taco, that is a piece fried avocado serving in a taco Whit a bit red cabbage and a sunflower sprout. I had the best fish tostada ever: Marlin orneado, (baked Marlin feels like the fish smoked, crazy good. I went last night and the place was empty, I guess because it is located something outside the center, but really, just go! the place is clean, the ambience is beautiful and warmth, Ther Essen is great and the prices are half of what you can pay on the beach for the same or even better dishes. I highly recommend it! Also we had a super service, staff is friendly and professional, one last thing: If you like beer, you need to try Pescadores, a local microbrewery. bon appétit!"

City: Tulum, Carretera Tulum Boca Paila | Km 5.5, Tulum 77760, Mexico
"Sigh...This restaurant ticks of all the boxes for cool and chic. But all the lounge music and careful lighting cannot make a fish tacos better, the mosquitos bite less or make a portion of guacamole in Mexico! worth $8.00! Had it been up to me alone we would not have stayed to eat but someone in our group had read somewhere on the internet (ha ha) that Tacolum was "the best restaurant on the beach". I had a beer...Tacolum's prices were posted in USD which was the first warning sign that we had been lured into one of the new species of restaurants in the Hotel Zone that promises more that it delivers. As a frequent traveler to destinations far and wide, one of the first things you think about when you plan your trip is the exchange rate. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Last year, 1USD = 12 pesos. This year 1USD - 17pesos so that bowl of guacamole should have been almost 30% cheaper. But no! This restaurant located in Mexico, where a kilo of avocados costs 23 pesos ($1.20) was charging $8USD for guacamole! Greed! Avarice! My advice- STAY AWAY from Tacolum and any other restaurant whose prices are posted in USD. Its hard to throw a stick in the Hotel Zone (Boca Paila) without hitting a good restaurant with a cool vibe, good food and drink including some fairly expensive places serving very high end fare. When your ready to spend some serious cash on really good food, just know that a $60 meal at Posada Magherita, or Hartwood or El Tabano or Casa Banana last year would cost you only $40 this year... jus sayin' If"

City: Tulum, Av. Lic. Pedro Joaquin Coldwell 493, Cozumel, Mexico, 77717, Tulum
"One of the newest Asian restaurants in Cozumel just might be the best. We tried Comida Vietnam located on Pedro Joaquin Coldwell (Av 30) between 5 Sur and Morelos. It is a small place located next door to Fu Lin, a Chinese Restaurant that we suspect might share the same ownership. The owner/head chef of Comida Vietnam is a very sweet young Vietnamese lady and we found he flavors to be about as close to authentic as could be reasonably expected. The menu is limited to a large degree by the inability to get certain ingredients but we enjoyed a very good fresh spring roll, a passable Pad Thai (although with some soy, which you would never find in Thailand) and our favorite dish of the day; Flying Noodles. The presentation of the noodles was very impressive and added to the pleasure. We didn’t try it but the restaurant also offers Pho (noodle soup) among several other dishes)."
