"We visited the Hare and Hounds for lunch as we were passing by. I ordered The Turkey dinner it was Amazing! In fact it was the best Turkey dinner I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavours divine! Thank you Chef! The staff were lovely too Sophie was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend the Hare and Hounds."

"Met up with friends for lunch today and we always try and find somewhere 1/2way between Bristol WSM. We weren’t disappointed with our choice the young lady was very good and kept coming to our table to see if we’d made our choices. When the food came it was all nicely presented, my husband had the venison faggots this he found to be very tasty. Our friends husband had the burger and again this was huge, myself and his wife had the large fish and chips, this is large be warned, again very tasty and the chips were delicious. We weren’t rushed in anyway whatsoever there was a log fire I think as I could smell wood burning."

"I booked a table for 9 people in the bear.... it was a very disappointing meal in total. the Veganuary Piee was atrocious watery mushroom in gravy with a sweet potato-mash coating. the sweet potato cure was just a baked sweet potato with a small cream sauce, a half-grilled oak choi and a pakora. the fish and chips were good. we asked which rosé wines are available as there were no wine menus on our table. it was apparently a choice of 2 so we decided for the Provençal rosé. Unfortunately, when the bill came, it was listed on £34! we all felt this for a pub completely overpriced!"

"We popped in for lunch as the Menu looked lovely. We ordered a selection of small/started portions and a couple of salads, nothing complicated. Pretty much everything we ordered came out wrong, either the wrong size or the wrong dish. One of the dishes was...due to be served with guacamole, something else came instead so I questioned the server who informed me indignantly that is guacamole' ??!! It was a pot of runny white liquid which I assume to have been very thin sour cream, with chopped tomatoes, tiny bits of avocado and some chopped spring onions swimming in it. Apart from the guacamole' the food that did come was not bad, it was just not what we ordered and the service was terrible. Upside was a cracking Bloody Mary ....my advice, Drink but DO NOT eat here!"
