"Excellent servers and bar staff who did their best to replace the undercooked bloody-in-the-middle fried chicken ...even the replacement was still a bit pink in the middle. The $17 burger and fries was a slider with a very modest portion of fries. Save your money and get a real meal elsewhere before coming for drinks."

"It was our third visit for our large group ( french choir) and we go back every year because we love the food, the staff and the atmosphere. We always end up singing randomly 3-4 songs during our meal and we feel that it is always welcomed and appreciated."

"Had dinner here tonight with my partner and an old friend. It was the first time eating here after living in the neighbourhood almost a decade. I had been in for coffee a few times before the renovation but had never tried the food. It was fantastic! We had the Meat Misto and Vegetarian (Vegan) Misto. Both were well portioned and perfect for sharing with family and friends. Try the Tej Cocktail, it's to DIE for (even as a mocktail)! The staff are SUPER kind and friendly and the atmosphere is really warm and cozy. Great place for a date as it's not at all boisterous and is very conducive to having great conversation! Looking forward to our next visit!"

"Me and my friend came to this pub for lunch because it's close to her work place. Before we can get in to the place the front door was very difficult to find, and there were blocks of wood in front of it - no wonder we thought that couldn't possibly be an entrance to a pub. Once we walked in, there's no one coming to greet us, even when the waitress saw us. I had too walk around to see is this is a "I can sit anywhere" type of place, or "they have arrangements" type. And the place smell a bit funny - like a very old house (which it probably is) but not quite old enough to stink. I have been to many pubs in my live. I have to say this probably is the worst. There were spider webs on the lamps by the entrance. The decor is way outdated - even for an authentic historical feel type of a pub. The chairs looks very old style (probably is old), and have fabric that probably is giving out that smell. The have some good beer menu. I got a Black Oak Pale Ale which was good. And a classic fish and chips to see the level of cooking this place offers. The food: 3 stars at best. Everything looks great. When I cut open the fish, the texture seem to be from a fresh fish. But once I had a bite, the very center of the fish was a bit dry and the tasted a bit bitter. So it probably was few days old or frozen fish. The fries was fresher although I decided to put lots of catch ups on them, after trying the fish. The presentation is two star at best. There were actually bar napkin/square paper inside my place under the bowl of fries, which I found very wired and unappetizing (specially after the paper is all soaked in oil from the fish or the water from the coleslaw. Coleslaw with fish and chips was a first for me - personally I dislike coleslaw. The service: 1.5 stars at best. During lunch hour at an area with some office buildings, on a Friday. I was surprised to see there's almost no one in the restaurant. There were only two servers for all of us, about six or seven tables - about 14/16 people. But there's no clear designation as to who's responsible for which table. These two are also very bad at their job, when they are hardly checking on the table with a glance of the place. We have to wave several times to try to get someones's attention to take our orders. Overall, I would not go back to this place."

"We ate here two nights in a row. Not fine dining but great food and beer. Excellent service friendly and helpful. Recommend smoked duck salad, calamari and beet salad. A really good find that I am happy to highly recommend."
