"Fantastic experience. The staff were all so welcoming and made you feel at home. A very well kept pub/restaurant. We ordered Sunday lunch. When it first came out we thought it looked on the smaller portion side. We were very wrong. There were layers upon layers of delicious meat and vegetables with beautiful gravy. All meals ordered (gammon, beef chicken) were faultless. The service was second to none. We will absolutely, without a doubt be returning."

"Absolutely awful... 1pm booking for our family christmas day .starters arrived at 2.30 after asking 3 times.... totally obvious they couldn't manage the bookings... and definitely not worth the cost !!!"

"Stayed here for two nights whilst attending a wedding nearby. The smallest room I have ever stayed in, definitely not fit for 2 people. The smallest 'double bed ' i have ever slept on. Only one towel in the bathroom. Absolutely rubbish water power in the...shower. A lot of noise from people outside the pub on both nights, meaning no sleep until 12am at the earliest. Not ideal if you have to get up early the next day. Hard work opening all the doors you have to get through (with keys). Noise when anyone opens/closes their door/walks down the corridor, waking you up. Overall, the worst place I have ever stayed. Travelodge is 5 stars in comparison (and I tend to stay clear of them). Reception was inside the pub. Got there on a Friday evening, pub was very noisy and had a council crowd."
