"Worst food in our current driving tour in Austria. Complete lack of courtesy in spite of making a reservation for dinner 24 hours in advance. Food was very poor. Beer the worst I have had in the country. Wine was OK. Much better service, food, beer and wine in premises opposite. Avoid at all costs."

"After sampling a few of the nearby wine taverns, we came across this place and decided to eat.The menu was ample, whilst the decor was rustic, warm and inviting. There weren't many people in so it was a little odd that the waiter appeared to be slightly stressed with his work, but he was friendly enough, perhaps it was his first night ?We had the chicken which was nice, washed down with some of the local wine.The bill included a 'trinkgeld', literally, beer money, or in other words, a service charge, not a huge amount, but I would have preferred to choose if I paid this myself."

"This restaurant is located just inside the amusement park. We ate in the outdoor seating area on a warm spring evening, enjoying the sights and sounds of the rides and riders as we ate our meal. Food was average, we thought, but service was good... friendly and professional. Compared to other restaurants we visited in Vienna, we thought this one was a bit over priced, and that reflects its location. Still, we enjoyed our time at the Eisvogel and were happy with our choice."

"The menue offers some very specific Styrian, as well as general Austrian dishes in excellent quality. This and the friendly service and a beautiful garden with some huge old trees makes you enjoy every stay. Wheel chair accessibility easy only in the garden. Unfortunately the...picture shown here is NOT the Steirische Botschaft but another, very crowded restaurant close by.."

"It was nice to escape t he cold outside by going into this large cellar restaurant. They specialize in tafelspitz and pork knuckle both of which we ordered. I liked the tafelspitz although the pork knuckle was quite salty (meant to be, I guess I'd...describe the food overall as kind of simple but homely. Several different wait staff served us and they ranged from being very friendly to slightly rude. I did try to speak a few German phrases but one waitress (who dealt with the bill) seemed to not like serving us at all. It was a shame as the other servers were absolutely fine and one chatted in English with one of our kids, so overall it was still a pleasant experience. It's also a very atmospheric place so I would still recommend it."

"We ended up there as it was absolutely packed everywhere else in this busy Saturday evening in December. We must admit the waiter and the waitress were very nice and trying their best to please us but... The decoration is very old fashion and tacky We waited 30 min for our Wiener Schnitzel which, we have to admit, was good as the few fried potatoes. The crispy salad was soaking in water And again we had to wait for a long time before getting the dessert, Apfelstrudel to share, not the best we had but average and served with whipped cream. The owner seems too busy talking with some friends arrived shortly after us. The poor cook must feel lonely in its kitchen... Congratulations to the Staff!"
