"Nice ambiance, excellent service, and great food. We shared a bread basket, heirloom tomato salad, mushroom tartine. Entrees were chicken confit, pork chop, skirt steak, along with two bottles of wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening."

"A very elegant and simple restaurant to enjoy with their friends, spouse and family. the food was fresh and tasty and our staff was very accommodating. parking can be narrow in its adjacent lot, but another lower level is available as well as street parking. my wife and I shared the gazpacho and the BLT salad. the sweet and the fruits are locally grown and super fresh. our entrees included the grilled chicken leg and a pasta dish. both were wonderful. we finished our meal with two delicious desserts (beautiful souffle and caramel cake.) I visited mandolin at two other locations and was equally satisfied. it is not a big restaurant, so reserve to ensure a table, especially at the weekends."

"The first thing I want to say is that they have the most attentive staff I've ever seen. They're constantly checking on you and they all act as though they truly want you to have the best experience. The food is absolutely fabulous. We were outside and itwas hot, but they have fans everywhere, so it was just so enjoyable, and delicious. And they have fantastic sweet tea!"

"I’ve passed Sunflowers countless times in the 2 yrs I’ve lived here (I kept thinking it was permanently closed), but I’m glad I stopped in. My sandwich was good and fairly priced (for Raleigh standards), and the staff were pleasant and friendly. The wait was only slightly long for it not being very busy. The menu seems to emphasize house-made/fresh items. I’ll definitely give it another try!"
