"Overall the experience was enjoyable. I really liked the first few courses; their presentation seemed more thoughtful and creative. The gazpacho, oysters, mussels and scallops were awesome! I thought the main entrée would be seafood too; it was good (pork with lobster mushrooms). The dessert was just fair. A bit odd: I was trying to enter the restaurant and the host closed the glass door on me. When she realized, she asked me if I was trying to find Marine Hardware. I guess there's a lot of confusion about their guests?"

"This was a super fun atmosphere on NYE! Super packed and energetic. We expected slow service and it was definitely slow but the staff was very friendly. I'm a girl who adds salt to everything but the amount of salt in the fish and chips was almost overwhelming. My husband ordered the steak med and it came well done. The pretzel and dip is really good."

"After Deep Dive, Barnacle, Whale Wins, Walrus Carpenter, Bateau and Melusine, Bistro Shirlee did not hit the mark. I am optimistic it was an off night, and we will give her another go. Charming environment. Would recommend with caveats at this point."
