"The name of the restaurant is La Fontaine though it is part of the hotel Le Beffroi. We visited in late May in beautiful sunshine and ate in the garden. This review is based on that experience.The restaurant is located high in the old town, so a little climb to get there, The garden is predominantly roses and overlooks the river Ouveze and almost all of Vaison. Quite spectacular.Our menu was 32 euros and started with freshly poached foies gras. The main course was gambas (large prawns) with asparagus and we finished with chocolate fondant. We washed this down with a bottle of rose. All was of a high standard and perfect for a summers day. Total cost for two was just under 100 euros.We had not booked but got there early. Many late arrivals were turned away. So suggest booking."

"A terrace with a beautiful view of the city and very beyond.. A very personal kitchen with exotic but soft touches, the sweetness I like to find at the time of dessert. The dulcey would like me a lot with one of those exotic touches for example... To see a quieter day with the desire to stay longer on the terrace. Beautiful summer in the Fontaine, wishing them as much success as the fables.
