"My first visit at Ziegelhütte was for my birthday dinner; booked the table a week before, all nice and easy. Arrived by car, astonished by the large car parks and the lack of free spaces the day was very sunny and we do expected many other guests. Still, we got our spot, table was free and we started to order a wide selection from the rather small menu (this is a plus!! . Short word to the service; well we had a lady from switzerland which was just average friendly guessing this simply because the place was crowded; else this could not be accepted. Anyway, the food was good, my meat was okay, the one from my wife tasted too much from the charcoal grill flavor/smoker chips. The served beer is no industrial crap and the wine selection looks very solid. One more to mention; Water is paid per person (Sfr 3 , any refill is free very fair! The water is from the tab which fits us just fine no need for special bottled mineral water well done! Overall we paid Sfr. 250 four large dishes, wine, beer and deserts average for Zurich. The restaurant tries to have an alternative; healthy living type of reputation which does not work in any way possibly trying to make it right for everyone for me; you can go further when it comes to meat (knowing the up tick in pricing Verdict +Style +Outdoor Seating +Parking"

"I had the vegetable burin which is fine. The rice is not a traditional Indian one but it's ok. The atmosphere is nice and the services is warm especially to welcome the late diners. The price is expensive for Indian food."

"Wir wollten heute mti einem guten Kunden essen gehen. Da viele Restaurants jedoch bereits ab 13h30 kein Essen mehr anbieten, haben wir auf der Webseite von den Drei Stuben gelesen, dass bis 15h offen ist. Kurz vor 14h waren wir dort und uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass die Küche bereits geschlossen hat. Warum dies auf der Webseite nicht vermerkt sei, fragte ich? Na man kann ja bis 15h hier sitzen, aber essen muss man vorher....."

"Perfect service, helpful and never condescending. They have minimal beer, and a short list of wine by the glass - long list by the bottle. Gazpacho, basic salad, chicken with risotto (divided for two plates), and fresh blueberries & ice cream for dessert. Expensive, but great food, service, and quiet location."

"Before going to the opera we had a little snack on our room, which was very tastefull. We did not have dinner in the restaurant since all 4 days it was empty. But the kitchen must be good since the breakfast was excellent too and once we got a glass of Gazpacho served with the aperitief and it tasted well."

"Having eaten at the Toto, I am surprised to read some of the reviews, as they go totally against the experience we had, both in terms of food and service. Toto was recommended to us by a friend as it was near to the hotel...we were staying. We dropped in without a reservation and were seated without any problem. This was around 18:00 on a Monday night, I understand it gets busier later and during the weekend. The food we had was very good, fresh and tasty. The restaurant has a broad menu to satisfy most requirements. The service was attentive and social, with the server having an great rapport and humour. I would definitely recommend Toto and don’t be put off by some of the reviews, as this was not our experience. Great food, service and for Zurich it was reasonable value too. Try it."

"Tucked away so that you would scarcely notice, it's worth crossing the threshold to find a friendly welcome, a good menu, delicious food well presented. My only concern was that it was busy (I was told busier than usual) and that made it rather noisy. But for a business lunch or a romantic dinner - worth the effort of finding"

"Went after work with a colleague. Last night my steak ordered medium arrived blue somewhere else; tonight ordered a Chateaubriand which should be a great fillet, cooked medium. It arrived well done. It seems I can't catch a break with steak chefs in Zurich this week. Tasted good anyway but would have preferred more pink. Nice place inside, modern industrial decor. Great service. Enjoyed a great bottle of wine from Dieter Meier, a Malo which I can recommend at CHF 99. Dinner for two was CHF 300 so not cheap. Would go back."

"Beautiful cosy elegant small restaurant, tucked away in a small lane close to the opera house in Zurich. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and professional staff. Great food and good wine list. Lovely ambience. We turned up without booking on a Friday evening but they managed to find us a table between bookings (booking ahead would be a good idea). Highly recommended."
