"Our buffet dishes at the hotel were well meant. But the repetition of morning and evening and today noon buffet had to be again. In addition, my colleagues and I found Weimar too bad to not be explored. So we had our “all inclusive buffet meals” and made us four towards the old town. Many restaurants were very good, partly visited to the last place. Others empty. We didn't dare. It should also be tasteful for everyone. We found the medium in the “black bear”. Not only a nice young employee welcomed us, but also the pleasant scent of the really good home kitchen. Several tables for choice, we chose the round table. The cards were handed over. Some day recommendations were displayed on slate boards. The drinks were taken up and served quickly. Radler, 0.4 l € 3,90, Paulaner Hefeweizen 0.5 l 4,50, Weimarer Pils, 0.4 l € 3,80. I was also in the Köstritzer Schwarzbier vom Faß, 0.4 l € 3,90, 0.2 l € 2,60. The smaller beer in the Biertulpe tasted much better than the big one in the glass crust. The menu with many Thüringer specialties was not easy to choose. The young service employee (Kellner 2 by document) could provide very good information and tips. In the evening he was always attentive, easy and beautiful laughing at the thing. The gentlemen chose soups for appetizers. Spinach cheese soup with bread pumpkin € 5,20. Strong potato soup with bread pumpkin € 5,90. The soups were steamed hot. There were still fresh ciabattas. My colleague and I shared the Bunter Salad Plate with Akazienhonig gratinated goat cheese € 12.80, as it was offered as the main dish. There was also the airy Ciabatta. Bunter salad plate with acacia honey congratulates goat cheese The salad really colorful and diverse. Kraut and cucumber salad were prepared separately. All ingredients fresh with a light cream dressing. The goat cheese cuts nicely, with the acacia honey very good! We felt very comfortable in the well maintained guest room with a lot of dark wood and old pictures. The toilets modernize, clean and well maintained. Our main dishes were served after some waiting time, for us exactly right. It's hot on preheated plates. For my colleague from Thüringer Bratwurst with hearty sourds and salt potatoes (they were exchanged on request in fried lumps) € 10.30. She was very satisfied, especially praised the fruity sour wort. It was refined with apple. The fried lumps golden yellow, I was a little envious. She didn't get this part. A colleague liked to help. Our colleagues chose the Köstritzer Schwarzbiergulasch with Sauerkraut and Thüringer Klößen €13.90. For me there were the dishes deer lobe with red cabbage and Thüringer Klößen €14.50. I was very happy with my choice. A classic grounded meal. The lean meat beautifully tender. Thüringer Klöße was very good, not to be expected. Even if I don't trust him that it was made of fresh cabbage. Unfortunately, red cabbage and meat cool off very quickly. Good portions, very good value for money, ambience for well-being, nicely maintained and friendly approved. Everything done right, what do you want more?"
