"The hamlet in southern Lower Saxony. For decades the Schillingshof has been enjoying an excellent reputation, now we have been able to convince ourselves. No music in the background, nice conversations with the owners (son takes over the Sommelier, mother the good soul in the service and the father as chef) give the visit to the traditional host house a pleasant flair. We chose the 5-speed menu. Accompanied by three greetings from the kitchen and a wonderful selection of wines, we were able to gain a good overview of the current map, which changes every 4 weeks. The staff was always active at the guest and constantly refilled our glasses. The variedly equipped digestif was also nice with all kinds of high percentages. A Hennessy XO, very good rum distillates and others must of course not be missing. Unfortunately, we only noticed the option of a fish soup to the menu later."
